Ex-US Trustee Joins Traxi

Traxi said Tuesday that it has named former
US Trustee Kelly Beaudin Stapleton a senior
managing director.
Stapleton, 40, will join the corporate restructuring and advisory group of the New York firm, which provides turnaround and workout advisory services. She will work out of a soon-to-open office that will be based between Wilmington, Del., and Philadelphia.
Perry Mandarino, a senior managing director of Traxi, said Stapleton “brings invaluable insight into the bankruptcy and restructuring process and the critical issues facing distressed companies, creditors and lenders in a range of industries.”
Kelly Stapleton Formerly a US Trustee for Region Three since 2005, Stapleton managed five federal agency offices and oversaw bankruptcy cases filed in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where she supervised all of the Chapter 7 and 13 trustees.
In addition, she had oversight responsibilities for Justice Department staffers and management of the courts’ bankruptcy process, including the first-day motions, creditor committee formation, and other duties such as the appointment of third-party professionals connected with bankruptcy trustee appointments as well as reviews of professional fees and appellate reviews.
Stapleton managed major bankruptcy cases during her tenure as US Trustee involving companies like W.R. Grace & Co., Armstrong World Industries, Congoleum, Owens Corning, New Century Financial, Dura Automotive Systems, Nellson Neutraceutical, American Business Financial Services, e-Toys, Sharper Image and Lillian Vernon, among others.
Stapleton is one of a series of new hires for Traxi. In September, the firm named Rich Mgrdechian a managing director, Peter Hoberman a director and Kelly Sickles a vice president. In June, Traxi hired Rich Saltzman and Patricia Chernego as associates.
Anthony Pacchia, a founding partner of Traxi, said the hires broaden the "depth and breadth of our capabilities and areas of expertise and will help us serve an expanding national client roster.”
